my music teacher had a student who wanted to sell his sax, so he left it at teh teacher`s office. i have decided to buy it, but just before paying for it, i played it once, and a piece of cork fell out, now the sax is not working well. so it broke on my hand.
should i buy it and fix it? or should i charge the owner?
i could also leave it with the music teacher, and let him fix it, but his reely busy.
thanks!

Recorking is certainly not a big deal! heck, i`ve seen masking tape used in an emergancy situation. you most certainly broke the cork, but it most likely broke because is had not been taken proper care of (greased regularily), so i would suggest asking the previous owner to pay for it. or maybe, both paying for half. it should not cost alot however, so don`t sweat it
