I`ve been playing a rented tenor sax (a King 615) from my school for about 6 months now. I figured that I`m going to need to start thinking about getting my own one soon. My parents would be looking in the relm of $800 USD. What brands/models should I look out for. I know the obvious ones, Selmer and Yamaha. But how about Buescher? Conn? etc, etc.

my man tenor is the way to go lol. my favorite sax. man i would personally go with the yamaha YTS-23 model. on ebay u can find that thing for $800 easy. buscher and conn....i wouldn`t invest in them. if u relli wanted one i would go with the buscher BU-4. Nice cheap brand. but at stroes it could still run u about 1,000. and they aren`t popular on ebay so they aren`t sol much. go with the YTS-23
i got through all of middle school with mine. u just gotta know how to treat it :P
