I was wondering if anyone could identify what model of Selmer alto sax I have. It is not with me right now, stored away at my parent`s house overseas.
It is pretty old and distinguished by it`s different and I believe rare `block-like` octave mechanism near the mouthpiece.
I have tried searching online but have not found it.
Any help appreciated. Sorry I can not be more descriptive!

never heard of it, but if you can, check the serial number, or even check for a model name, like on the front or side. I`m guessing its probably pre-Mark VI though

Since my original post I have located the serial number. It`s a model 26, 1927, #6820.
The mechanism I was trying to describe is a tuning slide by the octave hole on the neck.
Hope this helps. Thanks.
