"PINK PANTHER"... man, Henry Mancini was such a great composer. Anyone hear the new Ultimate Mancini album, it has Stevie Wonder on it, and a lot of Mancini songs performed by his daugher, Monica. The PINK PANTHER version on teh album is great.

My fav sax feature would be the intro sax solo in Wham`s "Careless Whisper". Anyone agree?

The Wham sax intro is great. I agree. But for overall "sax"iness the PinkPanther is tops. Back in HighSchool (many, many moons ago) i bought it for our jazz band. Still have the score.
For a `driving` sax solo I really like Birdland (or was it MacAurthur Park .... can`t remember now).

The best feature for a high school jazz band would have to be our love is here to stay...packed full of diminished chords and some really hip substitutionable progressions.....really amazing.
but there are always the classics:
my on and only love
when sunny gets blue
Emily
Samantha
yesterdays
there are more.
