hi. im in my high school jazz band and i gotta real tough solo, its called "I`ve just seen her" and i got some of it but i dont now much on improv. its got a whole bunch of writin chourds ex.C#7 and stuff like that i only know a little abou that kinda stuff. does anyone know a good site that will teach you for free? or can someone explain it well to me please? thanks.

Dang u guys get solos! That must be nice, my director wouldn`t consider giving an alto solo HeHe...Sorry, I have no idea what website to go to but I do have a really good book that probably explains it, and that might help you. The name of the book is "The Saxophonist`s Workbook; A Handbook of Basic Fundamentals". It is by Larry Teal. I hope this helps!

HAHA like that would work LOL Well I actually play tenor so I`m covered up by our good friends the euphoniums...today he gave an alto solo a french horn solo a trumpet solo and a euphonium solo...but do u think he gave me one? I might just have to try that! :cP

Horn solo? Is this for a concert band scene? Or jazz band? I am the only one besides my trombone player who solos, I love it, i usually get 2 choruses or 2-3 solos on the song because i have to take piano, bass, guitar, alto, and sometimes trumpet solos....
