Beginning Tenor for Marching Band

Next fall I`ll begin college. In high school, I was in the marching band (pit freshman year, sousaphone the last 3 years). I switched around marching instruments because oboes just don`t march and they needed more sousas. Sousa really hurt my back (as it is 40+ lbs) but since I enjoyed marching band I want to continue to be a part of it in college.

Anywho, I`m interested in picking up the tenor sax and I`m looking for an instrument that hold up under..well, marching conditions.

Does anyone have any recommendations (brand and maybe model) for a sax that can take the kind of punishment that marching deals out, as well as one that has at least a little sound quality(it`s only going to be used for marching). I`m looking to spend less than $400 if possible.(although i don`t really know what a sax costs)

Thanks in advance,
Rin

Rin,
I just sent an email to you for a Student Vito (Yamaha 23) tenor that I`m selling. I`ve used it in between my pro horn search (I needed something and I`m slow at picking horns). It`s a fabulous looking and sounding tenor. I attached a website with pics & description.
