I`m just learning the sax, I bought a second hand Selmer Bundy...I`ve been told I need a new end stop...can anyone tell me what this is? I`m a bit confused!

Ask the person that told you that. I don`t exactly know what they mean by an end stop either and I`m staring at a schematic in a sax maintenance book.

I have asked people at repair places how much it would cost to get replaced and theyve given me a figure - so i guess it must exist somewhere...?!
the person that told me was an old friend of my parents that i cant get in touch with...apparently its something to do with the lower register...i`m pretty baffled!
