As much as I love jazz, I can never be as good playing then I am at playing Classical. Thats why I`m interested in finding some good symphonic players. So, if you have any classical players that you really like, would you mind sharing them with me?

Hey I totally agree with you. As much as I love jazz, I still like symphony better. For me symphony defines me better. I`ve done symphony for five years now and started jazz a year ago. As fun as jazz was, I`d still rather die with bach or mozart in my grave rather than some one like benny goodman.

I think I need both. Music at school is easy, but we have to play easy music because everyone sucks. Ugh I`m really hating public schools. But with jazz at least theres improv. But yes symphony, I believe, is still a lot better. Main reason I ask this question, like in jazz, you need to hear what a sax symphonic player sounds like in order to play that it and get the certain style down.

a sax symthony player plays with a mellow tone, that is, a full yet soft sound. jazz players use a louder, thicker tone.
