Well, I`m going to buy my first mouthpiece for soprano sax but I don`t know the different between the "Yahama plastic student mouthpiece" and the "Selmer s 80 model C**", how did they different from each other? If I choose Selmer, how much different between model C,C*and C**, I mean the best medium facing one to start for beginner soprano player. And what are different between the wooden reed and plastic reed? Which hardness number for wooden reed I should buy to use with a medium facing mouthpiece?

If you`re buying a vandoren, then i suggest a 2 or a 2 1/2. If you buy a rico, then 2 1/2 or 3. Vandoren tends to be a half size harder to play. By the way, dont start out with the plastic reeds.
