I have heard tuxedo junction, frankly i wasn`t impressed. Ellington isn`t my kind of jazz, well not most of the time.....one of my favorite songs ever, Pennies from Heavn performed by Stan Getz and the Oscar Peterson Trio.

I like a lot of different types-big band, cool school, straight ahead...and withing each of these categories I have the artists I enjoy most...Benny Goodman, Stan Getz, etc...I like the music I`m listening to so much. I`ve picked from the entire range of music recorded on the planet, picked my favorite out of all of them. I really...REALLY loathe rap...sorry

Stan Getz is the man, he is the epitome of good jazz....now a good ellington chart, rockin` in rhythm.....ooohhh, it cooks and is beautiful at the same time. Though I can only listen to Benny Goodman and dance band for so long.....except for like fascinatin` rhythm and moonlight serenade. I also really like Art Pepper, he plays so much great stuff. Paul desmond...hmm, maybe a half dozen rfeally good songs, but the rest is almost unproffesional.
Lee Konitz, i thought i like him, but recent recordings have changed my mind.

Ellington usually always has something wrong with it, it`s usually some ugly player soloing. This is the reason I dislike tuxedo Junction, it`s blurred and sloppy, Most Ellington stuff is.

But the constant beam of perfection in music is mr. getz....As you can see, i don`t like too many jazz player...i can tolerate even more, like parker, coltrane, davis, and (for lack of a better phrase) other losers who helped disform jazz. But not Getz, he took what he had and brought it to new levels of...well....perfection!

I personally like Benny Goodman a lot because he was one of the few really good, really famous clarinet jazz musicians.

I have no freakin clue how I found this....i think drews profile but I gotta agree with the dude that says percussion kicks A$$. Because it does. Ne way what do with a reed once you`ve collected it? I mean cynthia you can`t play a read or can you? SO you all seem to hate drew. I can`t blame you. He bragged about that scanario forever and it didn`t even become a finalist so big diss to him! WEll I don`t really fit in with you so I`m out

Yep, there`s not a whole you can do with reeds once you`ve collected them, but it`s the same as collecting baseball cards or anything else like that. Reeds are good, but saxophone is better.
