I could see collecting reeds, they`d be fun to get a nice collection of. But playing them is the best.

Well, "anonymous", this is a like a saxaphone forum...chanes are there will be band nerds. Anyway, David and whoever, ehat do you do with any collection...i mean like a button collection...do poeple collect buttons? Well, i eman with most collections, they just sit there. I can`t believe that you are all still talking about collecting reeds! You don`t even use reeds (escept when you "smoke" them. But anyway...GET A REAL HOBBY! Something worthwhile I mean. Maybe we`re talking about reeds because this a reed thread. There must be something in Harlem`s water. You people are crazy. Maybe you like your orange juice a little too much. Don`t worry, my typying is terrible also. I just take the hours it takes for my typing to go back and correct my mistakes. And third trumpet nothing to scoff at, I would be proud if I was third trumpet.

Todays my birthday!!!! I care about reed collecting to the extent of giving all of my dead reeds to cynthia.

I heard it was possible to "blow out" a reed while you`re playing very hard...but this could just be an old lie. Is it possible? You`d be playing and the reed would do something, and just not work anymore....hmmmmm.
