If you don`t like it then can you send it back?
Blue saxes... hmm.
Then three brands I know of that have blue saxes are Monique, Mason Pro, and LA. SAX.

Now, Monique is either real real good or plain sucks because someof the factories are in China (suck) and some are in taiwan (rock). Some dealers make sure they only get the good moniques, and some don`t give a nasty word and sell whatever quality. Just watch the reviews and Email the dealer.

Mason pro; I`ve never seen or played one, but i`ve talked to the owner of the company, he says the factory is in Taiwan, and he sent them yangisiawas to copy; they did and now he sells the imitation for real cheap. He gives you a trail period, though with a 10% restock fee

LA sax; Never heard or played, but have a real good reputition. Not cheap.

Hope this helps, at least indirectly. Sorry I havn`t heard of the brand name, but I hope this helps in your blue sax search.

I have been playing an LA Sax Tenor
for about five years. It is a great
horn. Liked it better than the pro
Yamahas I tried when I was buying.
They come in blue. Check out their
list of players. If you can find a
list of sponsored players for any of
the other models you listed, I would
be surprised. These saxes are not
cheap.

If you`ve been playing sax for five years, don`t waste your money and time on it. It likely doesn`t play as good as your current student saxophone.
Some recommendations:
New: Selmer(Paris), Julius Keilwerth, Rampone & Cazzani, Yamaha

Vintage(Oh yeah): C.G. Conn, Buescher, Selmer, King, and S.M.L.(Strasser-Marigaux-Lemaire)

In my opinion and in the opinion of many other saxophonists, you`re much better off getting a crappy looking(or gorgeous, for that matter) vintage horn that`s a killer player than any new horn on the market.

Selmer mark VI oh yeah looks like sh#t but it`s in my opinion the best sax out there. Against vintage and new; take a selmer mark VI

If you haven`t heard of the brand, and several others haven`t heard of the brand, more than likely it`s not of good quality.

Feedback:
I saw the Anaxa on eBay and checked online for feedback. This 8notes site was the only place that had one feedback on the sax. I think it`s worthwhile to help out other parents in a similar search for a beginner sax with this feedback.

(To reply to the original question posted: I think if this sax is labeled `beginner` then for someone who has four years (intermediate) experience he/she should upgrade to a better quality sax.)

I have a 3rd grader who needed a beginner sax. His school recommended a rental for $170. Accessories like cork grease, cleaning kit and reeds were extra.

I decided to purchase the Anaxa Alto sax (regular gold color). With delivery it was roughly the same price as rental. Of course there would not be any maintenance like a rental would have. But since it`s new I did not worry about it.

I let a musician who handled rental saxes for a store take a look at it. He said it`s a good beginner`s sax. The notes I hear my son play on it are very clear. Even to my untrained ear I can tell when he misses the `G` or hits it on the nose.

I really like it because it came with extras I didn`t see listed with the rental.(My comments under each feature as listed on the Anaxa ad description.)

.High F # Key
(I`m guessing since this was listed it`s suppose to be a good feature to have. Haven`t tried this yet. My son is only on the first dozen note scales and I forgot to ask the musician about it.)

.European Designed
Yes similar to the Bundy II, another good beginner sax. Though I don`t know/play sax so can`t tell you the quality difference. The musician did say the Bundy II is a good beginner sax too. Both have individual serial numbers on the sax.

.Polished Lacquer Finished
New and shiny. Love it.

.Polished Brass Keys
Yes

.Pearloid Buttons
Yes. Probably a synthetic.

.Beautiful Engraved model
Yes. Nice decorative motif. Not just letters. Engraved lines remind me of Do-it-yourself engraving pen type lines (Perforated dots). If I remember correctly, Bundy II has what I would consider true engraved lines that are smooth. Anaxa motif still looks very good.

.Mouthpiece with reed
Yes. I`m happy I didn`t need to buy the mouthpiece (I think it came with 1 reed?). But son`s class was using a different size reed. So I bought the other size (bulk pack) through another eBay seller.

.Adjustable Neck Strap
I thought it would be a cheapie one so bought a more fancy one before I received the sax. Turns out it works well. Looks like this one. The fancy one is still unused.

.Cleaning Swab
Yes. After wiping the sax down for moisture. This long (2.5 feet?) swab is inserted to remove any remaining moisture from the pads and sax. Like this one but in rainbow colors.

I forget if this sax came with a wiping cloth. (I had purchased a cleaning kit and it came with two size clothes with a long string attached. Makes it easy and fun for my son to wipe down the interior of the sax and neck before slipping in the long rainbow cleaning swab.)

.White gloves
A nice bonus though it will be a while before my son grows into them. They are adult size.

.Plush Lined Hardcase
Yes. Fitted area for sax. Area for mouthpiece. And third area for accessories. The exterior is black. Interior is velvet.

.100% money back guarranty
I was happy with the delivery time. I`m in the East coast and it took a week to get to me. I did not have to return anything.

.Five year warranty.
Glad to have the warrantee just in case. If anyone ever needs to use it. Please leave feedback here on your experience with them.

Thanks.
The Mom.
