My teacher says i have a bright tone and i should get a dark tone...i dont really know what he means by dark or bright, can someone tell me?

hi, i think your teacher means your tone is too shrill. whit a dark tone he probably means that you should get a full sound, use much breath!!!
i`m from the Netherlands, so it`s hard for me to explain it in english, i hope you get it
