im planning to get a tenor sax and to begin studying the instrument on my own. Id like something with a good warm sound-not the scrapy one achieved with a cheaply made sax. Unfortunatly im extermely tight on money. Im also a clarinet player and have recently spent about 1200 on a very good wooden Buffet b12 and cna only afford to spend around 700-800 dollars on a saxaphone. Can anyone reccomend a tenor sax that fits in that price range and that is a good quality instrument?

Yamaha`s are good.

I own an old yamaha and it sounds a hell of a lot smoother then a few of the ones my students have bought brand new.
