It`s completely normal, but if it is too hard, it could be that your saxophone has leaks around the seals of the tone holes and pads. If it really bothers you, you can bring the saxophone into a shop and they`ll re-adjust it. But it`s normal to have to use more air on the low notes, so don`t worry about it.

Hmmm, I have found if you feel it`s pretty helpless, then lowering your jaw does nothing. you`re going to have to get practicing, with your jaw lowered and play with warmer air.

I play tenor and the highest note is the range you can hear, you can always go higher on an instrument, the highest regular fingering is f or f# depending on your horn.

TENOR!!!!! TENOR!!!!! TENOR!!!!!!

If you are lucky enough to get a saxophone, get a Tenor, it doesn`t matter which model, you`ll never be sorry you played Tenor.

TRUST ME!

You will never regret it....though you probably will switch to tenor because it`s the best.
