about two months ago i purchsed a SKY alto eb saxophone off of ebay. Yes its a chinese ,make but i wanted a new sax and i just dont have $2000+ to spend on a sax icve got to go to university next year! Anyways its a overall great sax with no problems. The pads DONT leak and the tone is very good and it innoation is great.
at christmas concert i played it and am 1st sax in jazz band. My solo went great and my band director sax that it is a good quality saxophone. Maybe im just a lucky someone who didnt get a sub par sax. I like my chinese sax and for the $219USD i payed, its still great quality.

Cool, sounds like you got a great deal. I personally dont trust the chinese brands because i think their all broken and stuff.....but youve proved me wrong.

just wondering how your sky sax is holding up. i just bought one for my son he`s in fifth grade. am hoping this instrument will last years to come. so far sounds good, plays great.

one of the younger guys has a sky in my band. I`ve played it, and from my experiance, it isn`t very freeblowing at first, but it has good tone, but the intonation was HORRIBLE. now not as bad as a soprano per say, so I could keep the litle sucker in tune, but for less experianced players it would be hard. Of course, chances are that the sky sax, since it is made in china is very varible, some will be amazing, some will be bad. good luck
