Hello everyone
I`m a 15 years old Alt saxophonist. intermediete I guess, I got a pretty proffesional equipment though: a 10 years old Selmer Paris Super Action 80 Serie II gold plated Alt sax, a Vandorn Optimum Ligature, and a Selmer S90C Mouthpiece. I`m looking these days for a new mouthpiece, and going to check some mouthpieces soon this week. I`m interested in a Dukoff or a Ponzol mouthpiece, any comments about these mouthpieces or about others that are good will be more than welcome.
Thanks Ahead, Amir.

It all depends on what you want to do with it: for classical I use a selmer C* soloist which i liked the sound better than the regular C*. For jazz I use a Otto Link Super tone master 5* facing with a harder reed. I will be getting a 7 facing and using a softer reed sometime this year because I liked the sound quality better. Best bet is to get some ideas and play on those mouthpieces, if you can. I don`t really think that there is one that stands out above the rest, otherwise every professional would be playing on it. In other words pick out what works, feels and sounds good to you. Another helpful hint is to bring a friend along to hear the differences, because we have a hard time hearing the difference when we are playing.
