Sounds like your a happy saxophonist, (don`t smile when you play) check your embouchure, make sure your bottom lip is curled under and make sure your biting too hard. Lastly check your reed and reed position, make sure when your reed is on and you push it against your mouthpiece, that you can see a sliver of black. Try some of these and see if they work. If not gonna hafta think of a few more.

I`ll just say that it also depends on the strength and type of reed that you are using. I would strongly recommend that you switch to the Vandoren blue box reeds (for classical) if you are not already using them, and start out on 2 1/2`s for that brand.
As your breath control and embouchure improve, you should gradually increase the strength of reed you use. In your second to third year of playing, you may wish to start using 3`s. After that, you can go even higher to 3 1/2`s or 4`s. Experimentation is the key. Find a reed which best suits your mouthpiece, which by the way is another important part of the instrument. Finding a good mouthpiece is the key!

i had the same problem with g-b because I would tighten the embuchure to tightly when I first started to play and I DIDN`T HAVE ENOUGH AIR TO SUPPORT THE NOTES.
