Okay, I think I wanna get a jazz mouthpiece for my Alto Sax, but my band teacher said that a metal one isn`t too great for the alto, its more better on Tenor. So, do you guys reccomend anything? I want a big warm round sound, and compliments the low notes, and doesn`t really screech on the high notes.

bite marks?? mine is over 2 years old now and it barely has a coupla scratches on it. maybe ur accidentally biting down too hard on the mouthpeice but, according to the band teacher, bite marks are normal. Maybe its my mouthpeice that doesnt show bite marks
