It is very important you get help...another post recommended a strong foundation in your tone...that is critical. this isn`t beginner stuff. Also...you may find that no matter how hard you try...your mouthpiece and/or your horn may not speak in these registers REGARDLESS of your personal facility. Have someone you know and trust at least prove to you by playing your horn, at least with their own mouthpiece if they cant make your piece work, that it will speak this way at all. If he/she cant...find someone who can. You may find that your equipment cant do it and why waiste all that time before figuring it out.
even worse....you might give up and never try it again when in REALITY you were ALMOST just there!!!!

the highest note i can play is F. Its octave above the one you use your left hand palm. When you play altissimo, youre kinda squeezing the reed, and making it squeek. I can also play every note up to F, good luck practicing.

i con play a high f# on mine(alto)should i use thicker reeds i play on 2 1/2
