Did you try taking a dollar bill, putting it under the pad, pressing the button down, and pulling the bill out? That usually helps.

Sometimes its the metal thats sticky. What you do to clean this, is just take some dull sandpaper and place it rough side down on the metal, close the key and pull it through. If that doesn`t work then the pad most likely needs to be replaced.

If you have cleaned your pads more then 10 times in a row it`s time for new pads.
Sticky pads are a sign of worn out pads and they usually need replaceing.

The dollar-bill trick only works temporarily. Try using Charlie A`s Crud Patch and Gig Dust, they work really well for sticking pads. Try applying steve goodson`s pad formula monthly to prevent them from sticking. How old are your pads? If you haven`t had them replaced in several years, there`s a good chance you might need a repad.

Actually do not use a dollar bill, it still contains ink, oils, and dirts from other people handling it, instead use a clean piece of printer paper. In the long run using a dollar bill will deteriorate your pads faster than normal.
