How to finger above high D    14:55 on Saturday, November 29, 2003

High E:

Finger low E, then don`t finger the thumb hole. You now have high E

High F:

Finger F, then don`t finger the thumb hole. You now have high F.

This does not work with G. If you take out the thumb for the fingering of G, then you get the equivalent of high C. Try to over blow regular G to get high G.

DON`T TRY TO OVERBLOW SHARPS AND FLATS!!!!!!!!

Sincerely,

Person

Low C and D...    11:44 on Monday, June 7, 2004

Try as I might, I can`t seem to consistantly hit the low C and D on the recorder... instead of a nice "oo" sound (like the rest of the notes), I get "squak" (as it screeches between two octaves).

This is the first time I`ve picked up a recorder in decades, and I really have no idea what I`m doing wrong. Any advice?
