Hi everybody, I'm new here. I posted my question on another forum a month ago and never got a response.

I have two recorders: a rosewood and an ebony. I love both of them but the rosewood is a bit too mellow and the ebony is a bit too bright. Is there a good in between I can try for my next recorder?

I've pretty much given up on recorder forums. Either no activity or a clique of snobs unwilling to answer questions. You might check out Lazar's Early music site. My instruments are plastic, so I don't know. Best to you.
