how do I figure out what kind of recorder I have? the fingering chart that came with it says it`s Baroque System (does that mean it`s a Baroque recorder?) and below each fingering example it has a middle C note if it`s Soprano Tenor and F note if it`s Sopranino Alto, which one do I follow? I`m really new at this, any help is appreciated.

How long is it? Also, using your fingering chart and a piano and/or tuner you could be able to match pitches to determine which recorder you have.

O.K. first of all the chanse that it is a soprano recorder. But to be sure: pick up the fone and listen to the dialing tone, then cover the 3 first hole (and the one behind) and blow.
If you hear the same note - It`s a soprano recorder, and if not it`s spose to be an alto one.
