I`ve been practicing singing for ten years. For an unknown reason, my voice suddenly got "hoarsy" one year and a half ago. Transition between registers and junction of my vocal chords suddenly became difficult, with more air passing through. Eversince, the situation has been improving but I still find it difficult to have a clear voice. Clearing my throat is needed all the time and control over legato and smoothness of pitches is still difficult. And this is not due to a problem of gastric reflux nor to any impaired chord, as looked into by a physician. What can be the reasons and what can I do to get rid of this partial "hoarsyness" and reacquire control over the junction of my vocal chords even in pianissimo singing? Thanks.
