ok so my voice teacher just gave me this reallyyyyyyy difficult song (S'altro che lagime) and its reallyyyyy high for me (i'm an alto). does anyone have any excerices or something to help me develop my high notes?? it would be very much appreciated!!!!! thanks!

im an alto,
sumtimes i use "falsetto"(instead of belting out) in songs that are too high for me.
but i don't use it throughout the whole song.

Unless I an wrong, that Aria is for soprano, not for Alto.

If you are Alto, I do not see why you were told to learn it in the first place. Check with your teacher the reason he/she may have. It could be there is a version for Alto, I do not know.

its far better to change peices than to try and quick-fix your range. people have permanently wrecked their voices by pushing it too soon. PLEASE change peices as ive seen lots of wrecked singers.
