I´ve come to realize that I always sing my best after a night of heavy drinking. Anybody has a logical/scientifical/any explanation to that?

In which register you can sing better? high or low? If low, then it's typical, because alcohol pulls your voice downwards. I think it's rather because of alcohol, not hangover. Depending on my own experiences beer is the one, what helps you to get low notes easily and with great tone. But it doesn't mean that from now on you should always drink yourself a night before an important concert into pieces. There's always better solution. By the way alcohol, especially strong alcohol burns your voice. If you'd sing every day regullary with right technique and with regular restings, then you'll finally develope same quality in lower register, plus your upper range remains the same(if doing it right).

You´re totally right. The lower notes are the ones who sound better after an alcohol-loaded night (specially beer) and, being a baritone, I never sing too many high notes, so I just figured my whole singing range was improved by busting my brains out with booze the previous night (dough!). Anyway, thanks for the advice, I know eventually I will have to dedicate more time to practicing.
