I was singing on my own for like three years maybe four and I really think it's time to get me a teacher.I think I'm pretty good at singing and I like my voice but I don't know if others will like it so i'm kind of not sure about attending singing lessons in music school.I would prefer a private teacher but I heard that they can kind of mess up your voice in a wrong way.I mean it's that like true or it depends on a teacher??can someone please tell me?i mean you all attend singing lessons,so what are your experiences about it?
p.s.i don't really plan to be a popstar or smth just to train my voice a bit...

I've mostly taught myself singing with a little help from friends, etc.

However, I wish I had a formal instructor to help me with my weaknesses, such as projection, not singing consistantly in tune (I know this is EXTREMELY bad, but I can hardly sing in tune a cappella), etc.

It all depends on the teacher, I think.

All of my friends who have private teachers for voice have found it really beneficial. One of my friends calls them, "Life-savers!" or something of that sort.
