I see your point, JohnBertolero, like in R&B, using your vocal chords might sound better, but you still have to learn how to support from your diaphragm for other styles of singing. i do think that diaphragmatic vibrato is classified as vibrato.. but then again i also thought that tremolo was false vibrato and using ur diaphragm was the proper way to do it.

ur probably right, coz i've had to sing gospel rock lately and i have to do a really interesting(?) run from really high notes and i have to use my throat voice because my chest voice and diaphragm wont support me that high.

But yes, when i said use ur throat to start doing vibrato, and then pulse ur diaphragm, i did mean do both until you can divide them and use each of them separately. because i do believe that both of them are useful even if not in this case.
