Hi folks, I figured I'd post this on your site, as I hope you will find this interesting. I recently started taking voice lessons and was practicing along to midi files, karaoke-style.
While working on one song, I happened to see a performance at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC by the a cappella group known as The Vox Vocal Ensemble, and while listening to them, I thought it would be a neat idea to try and make an a cappella version of the song I was working on at the time, which was Paul McCartney's Mull Of Kintyre.
Well, little did I realize what I was getting myself into! Like singing parts of instruments that don't have to breathe, LOL! Anyway, 8 months and 40 overdubbed tracks later, I've finished it off.
I played the song for some folks and everyone thought I should send it out into the 'net, so I made a video to go along with the track from photos sent to me of the Mull Of Kintyre and surrounding areas, and I've posted it up on YouTube.
So if you're curious to hear what this sounds like, go here and have a listen...

...and let me know what you think, love it or hate it.
By the way, if you'd like to compare it to the original, you can find that here:
