In response to huge demand, legendary Choir Director Clive Brown is holding another Gospel vocal workshop at The Premises Studios in Hackney on Saturday October 30th. Clive has led and directed many Gospel choirs, including The Shekinah Singers, The First Born Youth Choir and United Voices In Praise and has been described by producer Nicky Brown as “One of the most dynamic Choir Directors I’ve ever worked with. If you want to learn about the heart of Gospel, you work with Clive.”

The workshop is open to beginners, intermediate and advanced singers. Using popular gospel songs, participants will be put through their paces, learning all about

vocal techniques, correct breathing, use of different vocal tones, dynamics, voice projection, harmony and unison singing.

On the day the workshop will be split into two parts. The first half will be the vocal workshop where singers will learn all the skills needed to sing in a Gospel choir, with friendly, like-minded people. This then leads into a showcase performance at The Premises Studios, an opportunity to demonstrate everything learnt during the day, in front of friends and family – a real chance to shine!

The Premises is one of London’s most popular music studios, used over the past 25 years by every major recording artist, from Donnie McClurkin to Rhianna. As Nicky Brown puts it “ The Premises is the best place for Gospel and all music in London”.
