I`ve noticed that there is no music specifically for horns. Is this because it is assumed that we will just use the trumpet music, or just oversight on your part?

Not always--especially not if there`s an accompanist and the horn player doesn`t care to transpose. In any case, the trumpet`s high range is less difficult than the horn`s high range.
