Mozart's 3rd horn concerto is the most often performed of the four. Have you checked with your local library system? My local library has Dennis Brain and Barry Tuckwell recordings of it. Both, of course, are great. I believe both these recordings are available through Amazon.com. I own a very nice Music Minus One recording of it which includes the accompaniment that you can practice with. I purchased it through my local sheet music store (Pepper), but I'm sure you can order it through any music store. You can also buy it on line, just search "Music Minus One." The Music Minus One is the recording I'd recommend you buy if you're going to spend money because you can use it to help you practice. I also like the condenza that comes with the Music Minus One recording.

I may or may not, if not...I have the song and I could play it for you if you want. I mean, I'm not a professional, but if you want a perfect version I could play it a few times and edit and paste it to where it sounds like I played it perfectly!

Just like me know.

When is the competition? Probably over now because this is so late after you posted your question.

I was just going to say that I have that music, I'm playing the 4th movement though for a competition this Saturday. Well, I'm not playing it now that my band director said that we weren't going because of the fact that we haven't had school hardly at all this week (I live in Wayne County, Ohio). I haven't played at all with the accompanist that I would be playing with on Saturday because of the cancelations from school. I would have only gotten one chance to play with them though, so it wouldn't have mattered much.

What horn do you have the music for? (ex. horn in F, horn in B flat, horn in E flat) I have the music for F horn, but I don't think the advice would vary. If I haven't missed the competition, let me know and I might have a few decent pointers if you need them.
