I sooo wanted to play clarinet (still do), but my mom wouldn't let me. It's a good thing she didn't, though. Other kids would have made so much fun of me, especially at my school. So I got to play my aunt's old french horn that she left at my grandma's house.

(This was in 5th grade when we got to join band.)

We got to start music in 4th grade. My mother played a record with all the sounds of the instruments so we could pick the whose sound we liked best. I picked the French Horn. Unfortuantely, the elementary school district I was in does not allow you to play french horn, so I had to play trumpet.
Then in Junior high school I had the opportunity to switch to French Horn and did so immediately !!!!!!!! I am so glad I did!
