Try Lowell E. Shaw's Just Desserts in Frippery Style. They're unaccompanied but I have done them a couple of times as my "contrasting piece" for auditions. They're graded from about 6 upwards over here by the Associated Board.

Speaking of Lowel Shaw, I had the priviledge of meeting him in Denver at the ISH symposium last summer. He is SOOOOO nice, and has an adorable sense of humour. I first bought a bunch of his Bach trios, then when I ask for the Fripperies, he quietly commented, "Hmmm... There's just no accounting for some people's taste!" Valerie

I suppose, although trombone seems hard too. But I started out on horn...so hard!
