Martyn,

JM Horns slides are rough at first. They can work themselves in over time. Be sure to use a good grease. If they are still rough after grease they can be 'lapped'. This is done by using a special compound. This should be done by a competent repiar person.

4th valve stuck? Take the top cap off and drop a few drops of white vinegar on the spindle bearing. Try to move the valve by gripping the stop arm on the back (don't use the lever until it does move). Let the vinegar sit for awhile, do this several times if need be.

Once you get it free, be sure to oil it properly. IF this doesn't work take the horn to a reputable repair person.

Is French Horn is hard to play? Yes, most people find it a challenge. But the sound is so good and the 'feel' of the sound is so good; the results are worth all your efforts.

Your English is not near perfect; but certainly your English is understandable.

I don't know exactly where you are but my first recommendation for a repair person is, , .

Martyn,
I am not sure what you mean. When you say 'Value' I assume you mean valve. There is a valve for each finger and one for your thumb. Many times valves get stuck because moisture is in there and then it sits a long time and corrodes resulting in not working.

Don't take the valves out by yourself. Wigan is very far from either of the Woodhead locations. You might go to his website and ask him for a referral in your area. Luke would know who is out in your area that you can trust. I only know Luke.

I can't find the photos you are trying to post. Maybe I don't know how to navigate photobucket correctly. Can you send the photos to my personal email address? I'll put the address in a PM.
John
