@Rumble - if you have a rotary valve trumpet yes, this technique will work for you. If you have piston valves we can do it differently and more easily.

You can take your valves out easily and safely. Remove your valves and inspaect them. If there is corrosion on them then place them in the vinegar over night. Remove all felt and cardboard before immersing your valve. Inspect the inside of your valve casing. Often times I find dirt accumulated in the slots on the inside valve casing. Clean these out properly. Be sure to oil thouroughly as you replace the correct valves in the correct valve casing. Be sure to oil each time you play and when you are done playing.
