Does anybody have any suggestions for a good slide grease?

I've been using SuperSlick brand grease, but the stuff dries up way too quickly. I like that it's clear though...

On a side note, has anybody here ever used Yamaha's new synthetic valve oils? I bought a new horn the other day (Holton H288) and bought a bottle of the Yamaha oil to try it out. Works really smoothly, I like it so far. Just wondering what you guys think about it.

Slide Grease suggestions- for many years i used McKay's high temp brake grease. Presently i am using Permatex dilectric tune-up grease. If you something specifically designed for a musical instrument I suggest Selmer slide grease. It comes in a small square bottle and is pink. This stuff lasts a long time. So long the bottle will detdriorate and crack before you use it all. So buy a new bottle every 3 years or so so you dont worry about it cracking open in your case

Yes the Selmer red stuff is very good but it’s so thick I ended up squeezing the bottle hard and it cracked. Lucky it wasn’t in my horn case because I only noticed the next day!

I’ve got some Helman slide grease on the way. I’ve been using their bearing and rotor oil and its very good.

I tried the Hetman greases. They are good. But they just didn't please me enough for the price I was paying.
Everyone complaims about that Selmer grease bottle - either it cracks or the top pops off. When I used it I used an old empty small jar that had trombone slide cream in it. Yes i ended up using my fingers to put it on but it lasts so long and is easy to wipe off.
