So, messing around with all the mouthpieces I have and in expectation of the Laskey 80G I thought I'd put aside which ones felt best on the lips. I noticed I preferred those with a very acute bite but also larger inner diameters. When playing I noticed my flexibility decreased the smaller the inner diameter of the mouthpiece. This led me to take some measurements of my lips. I noticed that if I measure the section right under the dimple my lips measure exactly 18 mm there. When I was going up the scale in size trying Laskeys, it was the 80G (18 mm) that felt best. Has anyone else tried this measure? Does it correspond to the size inner diameter you prefer? Just curious.

I'm not the brightest bulb in the box when it comes to mouthpieces, and I've never tried that. But I do know that many "experts" recommend larger inner diameter for full lips. Seems logical enough to me.
