I've been teaching brass for years and I always end up with puddles on the floor. What do you do about what comes out of your horn?

I tried making my own solution at www.thebrassbuddy.com but it is a few months from reality. It is basically a small container with an absorbent and anti-bacterial (and anti-mildew) sponge. Any feedback is welcome!

I have always just dumped it on the floor and cleaned it up when i was done. sometimes i would put a rag on the floor next to me and dump it on the their and then put the rag in the dirty clothes and wash it later.

When I go to students homes I use an old spitoon.
If I am without the spitoon I use a paper towel, or small towel that can be washed soon after.

Once in a while I'll ask my students to put out paper towels, but they'll forget about them so that hasn't worked out for me. Pretty gross picking up paper towels at the end of the day.

I have a blue dish rag that I took from my mother's kitchen when I was in junior high. I am now 34. I lay it on the floor next to me when I play, and I empty onto that. It has always worked great.
