I was reading the Alexander catalogue and noticed that there were a few triple horns that have six valves. Obviously, there are three normal valves (operated by the fingers), and two thumb valves for the B♭ side, and one for the high F/F-alto side. The normal F side uses no valves. So what is the sixth valve used for?
Thank you.
