I recently bought a vintage conn 6d Elkhart off of eBay and when it arrived it seemed alittle off. It looked like a conn 6d but any counterfeit would I guess. The horn was professionally restored so parts were most likely replaced with lesser quality parts. Things I've noticed that seem odd are the rotors in the valves are steel, not sure if that's normal but it's probably replacement part. The insignia on the bell is only the letters " C.G. Conn LTD." no symbols like on other horns and the insignia wasn't engraved into the metal but rather little dots punched into the bell( not even a good job, the letters were crooked and unevenly spaced). when I play the horn it doesn't feel like the quality of a Conn, this may be due to cheap replacement slides, valves, or bell (it's got a screw bell). Any way I just want to know if this is an actual Conn 6D or a cheap counterfeit. If you would like picture of the horn please email : art097836@gmail.com

Also there is black residue on the inside of the inner bell from when they wrapped the horn and didn't clean it out. Perhaps the bell section is new and not of quality or the whole horn is new and not of quality (counterfeit)
