In order to assist performers in finding new and exciting repertoire for their instrument, Emeritus Recordings has created its new “Repertoire Series” CDs. This growing series is designed to showcase previously unrecorded repertoire composed by living composers. Established artists and accomplished newcomers perform the compositions on the CD. The CDs sell for less than ten dollars, or individual tracks are available for download purchase through your favorite digital media outlet. Our website includes descriptions of each work, links to where the music can be obtained, and excerpts of each recorded track.
One of our recent additions is “Echoes – Tuba and Euphonium Music of Sy Brandon and Mark Scott” featuring performances by the 2005 International Euphonium Institute Crimson Euphonium Choir, The University of Arkansas Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, and the Euphouria Quartet among others performing works for euphonium ensemble, tuba/euphonium ensemble, and tuba duet.
Below are some of the comments this CD has received:
“Echoes, succeeds as a vehicle both for showing excellent examples of works and capturing the excitement of live concert performances from several recent international conferences.”
Phillip C. Black - Assistant Professor of Tuba/Euphonium, Wichita State University
Principal Tubist, Wichita Symphony Orchestra

“The recording, which features mostly live performances (all but one are recorded live) is a wonderful way to get acquainted with the tuba/euphonium music of two fine American composers, as well as being aurally interesting and a delightful listening experience.”
