My band director has this AWESOME brass sousaphone called a fat boy- I don't know the model or anything, I think it's just the style or something. It has wider valves, which allows for shorter stems because the tubes are squished into ovals, and it has a very rich tone, and it is SO loud. Iyt's about 10 pounds heavier though. Anybody know more about these awesome tubas?

A university in Texas offered him 6 fiberglass sousas for it, because the peoples who make tubas stopped making them. I told him that was a majorly bad deal=)
