So, i'm in a combo at school, and we're having problems. We have no combo interaction. This is mainly because of our guitar player, who has a rather bad attitude and in every song, no matter what style, he only strums quarter notes. However, he one of the best friends of both me and our drummer, so kicking him out would be really bad for our frienship. And we recently got an extraordinary piano player who makes him useless. And, we have a saxophone that practices a lot and is the most hardworking member of the combo, but he simply has no soul, emotion or groove in any of his solos. And we're not really friends with him; our band teacher kinda forced him on us.
So what should we do about this??

well tell these people your peeves and tell them to smarten up or get out and for the sax player, well, kill him.
no i'm joking, just try to get him to swing, mention stuff to him.
