We are doing a first of its kind of event in Nepal- The nation of the Himalayas. ReConceptions Of Jazz.

Reconceptions of Jazz is a new programme offering locals and visitors in Kathmandu the opportunity to explore the different spectrum of jazz through electronic music. The principles of jazz and electronic music are maintained: improvisation, blues harmonies, swing rhythms, authentic classic electronic themes and soundscapes.

Reconceptions is providing a platform to up and coming local and international DJs, jazz musicians and bedroom electronic producers to pay tribute to jazz heavyweights such as Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Gil Scott-Heron and more through samples used and reworked compositions.

Reconceptions will take place across several venues all over the valley from 16th to 22nd October 2014 and all events are free admission.
