Okay now heres the thing, you`d get a lead sheet if your looking for jazz. Just a sheet with a head which is about only 4 staffs long and chord progressions.
Now this big band business, you need a lead sheet only, and then an arrangement.

Here is a arrangement example.
Play the Head once
Solo first with Horns then Rythm Section
Rythmn Exchanges
Play the Head again
Finish

IF its a big band, then it would last around 5 minutes

Remeber jazz is free hand no classical, solos are all improved on stage.

Good luck to all of you OHH BY THE WAY!

They`re not free, but we have bought quite a few arrangements from
www.smallbandmusic.org
The came back by return and work very well.

O.K. Jazz is full of impros but i suppose that there need to be some crazy people who notes down all instruments in a song from a CD .

I need especially : Take the A train , Tenor madness and more songs similar to these and
every breath you take and so

Does anybody have a clue ?

Hello, I hope everyone out there is doing fine.

Listen, I`m looking for free sheet music for ONLY the LEAD TRUMPET PLAYER for Maynard Ferguson`s version of Birdland. If you know where to find it, I...I can`t tell you how much it would mean to me, considering I`ve been looking for it for about 5 months.

Not free, but I have a bunch of Maynard charts (and others) for sale. My band dissolved when the leader died, asked to seel off the library. See Ebay, search for charts, arrangements, or Maynard.
