Hi I have a jazz quintet and i need a name for us! I am realy struggling to come up with one and was wondering if any of you had a good idea?

what kind of horns are you using? come up with something that invloves your horns or something.

I am using voice, drums. double bass, sax - alto and piano

hey, i`ve got the same problemo as u. i`ve just recently started performing in a string quartet and we have absolutely no idea what to call ourselves! i was wondering if anyone out there could possibly help me think of a name for us as well?

lmao...hmmm this is a funny thread, ok i dont know how late i am for any of you to actually use my advice(which is just caffenie powered stupidity taking form as words), but here goes. For the jazz quintet, you cant go wrong with the following: "The Tounges", "Take five", "The Intent Quintet"(no im not sure if "intent" is a word), "[Insert hippest name of a member of your group] and the Jazzers" and my personal favorite, "The Nonames". and as for the string quartet, thats a litle tough, how bout "The String Pluckers", "The Stringers" "The Dream Strings", or you could always go with "The Nonames" although youll probably end up having to fight a copright legal battle with our jazz quintet buddies over there. Well anyone who actually read through all of my post, Thank you for making these 2 minutes of my life possibly give "Inspiration" to someone, and if I wasted 40 seconds of your life, im sorry but my duty as a good samaritan inclined me to do this. I need a name for a big middle school jazz band. we have 4 alto saxes, 3 tenor saxes, 1 bari sax, a jazz flute, 4 trombones, 1 euphonium, 5 trumpets, 2 drums, 1 keyboard, and one electric bass. Yes, its big, but we need a name, a GOOD one! it can involve our band directors name, students name, ANYTHING! we just need a variety of names so we can vote on them at school! please and thank u for the advice!!!

We`ve had "Perfect Fourth" for our Vocal Jazz Group...

Just name your band Free Beer. cause when you get a gig, the sign or poster will say, "Free Beer Here Tonight"

unless you play at formal places, then you could name it "free [put a fancy food here]" im too much of a redneck to think of a fancy food right.
