I actually have exactly the same problem, however the band i`m in is a Traditional stage band, butwe have a couple more sax`s than normal. We need a name because we`re starting to preform and get really busy so we need somthing. Perfect 5th sounded good who ever said it but i cant really use it because we have 18 people, 7 sax`s (its a lot i know, but its 3 alto, 3 tennor, 1 bari thats me!) 3 trombones, one bass trombone, 4 trumpets, keyboard, drum kit and bass. Any ideas??? (i actually really liked the perfect 5th thing, cant get it out of my head!)

my idea is get the first letter of everyones name in the band and try 2 make a word (doesnt matter if it doesnt make sense) and use that. i have done it on a number of occasions and ppl remember it cause its different. hope i helped u. (remember that if u neeed to make up ur own word)

Take an inside joke with your band and turn that into your name, or something that has happened with you and your band. My sister`s jazz combo is called "Eighteen Minutes Late" because they were eighteen minutes late to state solo and ensemble festival because they all got lost. My jazz band is "Third in Line" because we were behind two other awesome groups in a jazz festival, and then we were behind them again when we went to go get food. Hence the name, "Third in Line".
