They`re ok. I wouldn`t say that they`re "death-rock" more like Emo. They have like 2 songs that I like but they`re not my favorite.

my chemical romance is one of my famous band !! actyally nowadays it`s rare to see songerswho have a beautiful voice and it`s the case for the songer of my chemical romance! on an other part their clips( for instance for helena)are up to it ! finally the reason of their success is they don`t neglect anything!!

I love MCR--I think it`s going to be around for a long time.

I quite dispise My Chemical Romance, and the reason is this. They just sound bad. I dont care what genre they say they belong to. If I were to play a BB King song, I doubt I could get away with calling it techno, and I personally prefer a little consolidation in the mass of genres, so I call them emo because its easier than giving a f*** what the difference between "post hardcore," "emocore," "screamo," and whatever orther little subcategories the emos have divided into is. Now when it comes to this particular genre of music, I have a problem with pretty much every part of itfor the following reasons: It`s entirely based on depressing shallow lyrics meant to tug at the wallets of angsty teens; All melodies are written minor with almost nothing but power chords and overdriven guitars which gives off the impression that they feel your pain...more, your hardcore pain, because obviously anyone who uses overdriven power chords is totally hardcore; Finally, the look. The Emo look is one of the saddest trends I`ve ever heard of. I mean, making depression fassionable? Aside from the pure idiocy fo this concept, it`s taking the attention away from the people that are actually depressed and might actually seriously need help. In conclusion, MCR is Satan. Goodbye.

well we are here to give our opinion and thats what he did i think thats ok. personally, i think that MCR arent thatttt bad.. its good melodies and lyrics but it stops there.. its super new or innovative or whatever.. i wonder how long they will last. helena is not bad but i think the video really helped for the success of that song. they have good videos but when you just listen to the music, its not extraordinary. i think its a good emo-pop-punk band.. and thats all. they are everywhere now.. commercial. but anyway, i do have their cd and had good times listening to it very loudly in the car. What i dislike is that they are going to commercial, their fashion and that the videos are not as good as the songs.

Speaking as a parent of a twenty year old who is MAD about my chemical romance and has been for some years despite our remote location in Ireland: The person who commented earlier might like to know that not every parent is pxxxed off by their daughter playing MCR.

I can`t say I like ALL their music particularly when a scream is more like someone gargling glass BUT as a musician and entertainer myself I have to say they are very well produced and can make a four chord song ("I`m not OK") sound a whole lot more sophisticated with counterpoint leads etc.

You may not like their music but you can`t fault their abilities (in the studio at least - I`ve not heard them live). I know I`ll be playing this song live at my next gig because it`s a high energy song with good melody and even if no one else likes it, I`ll enjoy playing it.

Okay, first of all everybody stop trying to put a label on them! They`re not goth or emo; rather, they`re a mix of different genres. I, personally, really like their music; I think that they have a great vibe. The songs are meaningful and I like the lyrics. The musicians are talented, and I love Gerards voice I think that it`s funny when he jumps up and down at concerts and how the band just generally gives it their all; it`s unorthadox and refreshing So, there`s my two cents xD

My Chemical Romance is terrible. They really have no talent at all. I bought this cd last year, because I heard a friend of mine`s copy of it and I was like wow this is great stuff. In response to the album I bought tickets to a MCR show and to my suprise these guys sucked it hard. Gerard couldnt sing and the guitar players were boring. They barely moved at all and half the time the vocals were not there because of a lack of breath. Here`s why a band can suck and be good on an album. The band rights the basic four chord song and gives it to the producer. The producer calls up select session musicians w/ years of work under their belts. They write melodys, leads, and bass lines. The band comes in and sits down w/ the session musicians and look over what people in recording studios call charts. The band plays what has been written for them. If they vocalist cant get on pitch the producer uses a magic little pitch machine and makes the voice be on whatever not is needed. The album is mixed and mastered and then released. People like you are fooled into thinking there is some great new band. Major record labels rake in your hard earned dollars. I throw my copy of Three Cheers For Sweet Victory out the window as I drive away in my 95 Ford Explorer from the worst concert I`ve ever seen in my entire life. I look back and think god all these songs are so fabricated and fake. I could write a song w/ a womans name in it and say it`s for my grandma as well. Dont believe everything you see on TV and read in the magazines. If I were his grandma I would be offended by talk about stained razor blades. To those who are hard headed and deaf keep buying into it. Keep corporate america happy and making the american music scene shi*ty.

In general, the emo thing is completely overdone. When they take basically every emotion a human can have and make it into some type of horrible music, I'm thankful I'm sticking to classic rock for life.

I have nothing against goths, !*****!s, emos, whatever they try to be... (I say !*****!s because I've seen pictures of Gerard making out with a few of his fans)

In general, their genre sucks, and a lot of their music leaves a lot to be desired.

But you have to admit, the title "You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison" is just funny as hell.
